Rhian Harvey has a comprehensive background in operations and membership services, currently serving as Head of Operations and Membership Services at the Cobalt Institute since June 2019, following roles as Senior Manager and Manager in the same department. Prior experience includes positions at the Cobalt REACH Consortium, where Rhian held the roles of Assistant Manager and REACH Support Officer, and at Simpsons UK Ltd as a Quality Control Analyst. Additional experience includes serving as a Synthetic Organic Chemist at GE Healthcare and as a Lab Technician at Dow Corning. Rhian holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Catalysis from the University of Wales, Cardiff and another Master of Science (MSc) in Chemistry from The University of Birmingham.

Cobalt Institute
The Cobalt Institute (CI) is a non-profit trade association composed of producers, users, recyclers, and traders of cobalt which promotes the sustainable production and use of cobalt and acts as a knowledge centre for governments, agencies, industry, the media and the public. The Institute is largely focused on health, safety and environment, regulatory matters (chemical management), responsible sourcing, sustainability markers, global advocacy and providing useful information on cobalt and its applications.
