Sarah Schneider is a seasoned professional in policy and communications, currently serving as Policy and Communications Manager at Cobalt Institute since January 2022, following roles as Senior and Policy and Communications Officer within the same organization. Prior to this, Sarah worked at Edelman in EU Affairs and Policy and at Carat in communication consulting. Earlier experience includes internships at Philips, the European Parliament with MEP Sabine Verheyen, and Deutscher Bundestag with MdB Rudolf Henke. Sarah holds a Master of Science in Business Administration: International Management from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Cologne, complemented by studies at the University of Sydney and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.

Cobalt Institute
The Cobalt Institute (CI) is a non-profit trade association composed of producers, users, recyclers, and traders of cobalt which promotes the sustainable production and use of cobalt and acts as a knowledge centre for governments, agencies, industry, the media and the public. The Institute is largely focused on health, safety and environment, regulatory matters (chemical management), responsible sourcing, sustainability markers, global advocacy and providing useful information on cobalt and its applications.
