Thomas Pluck

Thomas Pluck has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Thomas currently works as a Deployment Engineer at Cobalt Iron since August 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Unix System Administrator for Nemours from August 2020 to August 2022. In 2020, they worked as an IBM AIX Consultant at Final Frontier Corp. From 2010 to 2020, they held the position of Senior Unix System Administrator at Aeropostale, where they provided 24/7 production support and managed various systems and applications. Thomas also worked as a Social Media Coordinator at the National Association to Protect Children from October 2013 to November 2015.

Earlier in their career, Thomas worked as a Unix Systems Administrator at Ports America from August 2002 to June 2010, providing support and administration for IBM AIX systems, as well as managing various projects. Thomas also worked as an AIX Systems Administrator at IBM from February 2002 to August 2002. Thomas's experience also includes working as a Lab Administrator at Comverse from February 2001 to November 2001, where they managed technicians and implemented scripting solutions. Thomas worked as a UNIX Administrator at Bridge Information Systems from June 2000 to January 2001.

Thomas Pluck began their career as a Lead AIX Analyst at Alliance Data in June 1997, where they provided 24/7 tech support and led the UNIX support team. Thomas originally joined Harmonic Systems as a tech support analyst before joining the UNIX support team. Harmonic Systems was later acquired by Alliance Data Systems.

Thomas Pluck completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) with College Honors in English Language and Literature at Rutgers University - Newark from 1989 to 1995.

In addition to their degree, Thomas Pluck has obtained several certifications:

- In August 2020, they obtained certifications in IBM Storage for Cyber Resiliency & Modern Data Protection V1, IBM Storage for IBM Z V1, IBM Systems Business Partner for Enterprise Storage – Technical Sales V1, and IBM Tape Storage Solutions Foundations V1 from IBM.

- In March 2012, they earned the Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification from Red Hat.

- In July 2005, they obtained the IBM AIX certification from IBM.
