Michael Register

Michael Register currently serves as the Director of Cobb County Public Safety, a position held since August 2023. Prior to this, Michael was the Director of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, leading a prestigious law enforcement agency. Michael has extensive experience in law enforcement and public safety, including roles such as Assistant Chief Deputy at the Cobb County Sheriff's Office and Chief of Police for Clayton County. With nearly 30 years of law enforcement experience and 22 years of military service, Michael also contributed to education as an adjunct instructor at Columbus State University. Michael holds a Ph.D. in Strategic Leadership from Liberty University, along with a Master of Public Administration and several relevant certifications.
