Gerardo Rodriguez is an experienced educator and community advocate with a focus on dual language immersion and support for Hispanic communities. Currently serving as a Dual Language Immersion Teacher at Cobb County School District since May 2018, Gerardo has also gained valuable experience at Georgia State University in various roles, including Telecounselor and Tour Guide, contributing significantly to the university's Welcome Center. As an intern with the Center for Leadership and Disability, Gerardo co-developed initiatives aimed at improving awareness and access to disability services within Latino communities. Previous internships include engaging with students in the Dual Emerging Language Program at Mableton Elementary and leading classroom programs at Riverside Intermediate School, demonstrating a commitment to education and student support.
