Rose-Marie Shigas

Rose-Marie Shigas has extensive experience in the field of education, currently serving as a Special Education IRR Co-Teacher and Case Manager at Cobb County School District since January 2020. Prior to this role, Rose-Marie worked as an Education Program Specialist at Wake County Public School System from June 2014 to May 2018, focusing on professional learning and curriculum development. Additionally, Rose-Marie was a Professional Curriculum Writer and Instructor for NCVPS from August 2007 to August 2014, providing online instruction and developing innovative curricula. Earlier experience includes serving as a Professional Development Coordinator for Wake County Public Schools from January 2001 to February 2004, where responsibilities included coordinating support and training for newly licensed teachers. Rose-Marie holds a BA and Masters in Political Science and Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a degree in School Leadership from Appalachian State University.
