Senior R&d Materials Engineer at Cobham Mission Systems

Michael Schroer is an experienced materials engineer with a comprehensive background in research and development, particularly in ceramic engineering. Currently serving as a Senior R&D Materials Engineer and Ceramic Engineer at Cobham Mission Systems since September 2011, Michael also holds the position of Principal Materials Engineer R&D at Eaton, where both roles utilize extensive expertise in materials science. Prior to these roles, Michael contributed as an Engineering Staff 1 at United Space Alliance, focusing on engineering procedures and failure analysis related to the Space Shuttle program. Previous experience includes process engineering roles at DalTile Corporation and CertainTeed Corporation, where Michael ensured product quality and compliance with specifications. Earlier work at the Southwest Research Institute involved high-temperature corrosion testing of alloys, and initial research experience at the University of Missouri concentrated on the prototyping of ceramic capacitors. Michael attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Ceramic Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology.
