Emmie Wienhoven

Emmie Wienhoven is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in advocacy, project management, and specialized communication support, particularly for Deaf and hard-of-hearing learners. Currently serving as a Global Advocacy Advisor & Partnerships Manager at COC Nederland since January 2021, Emmie previously held the position of Project Manager at Koninklijke Kentalis from January 2014 to January 2021, where project design and knowledge sharing were central to the role. Earlier experiences include serving as a Program Officer and Intern at Koninklijke Kentalis - International Office and working as a Sign Linguist, where Emmie provided Sign Language education and assessment for individuals with communication needs. Emmie's freelance work involved supporting children on the Autism Spectrum, enhancing their social and communication skills. Emmie holds a Master's Degree in International Development Studies and a Bachelor's Degree in Sign Linguistics, both from the University of Amsterdam.
