Steven Laura

Steven Laura is an experienced cybersecurity professional currently serving as a Senior Cybersecurity Assessment Engineer on the Red Team at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma & Texas since May 2019. In addition to this role, Steven has been an Associate Faculty member at Cochise College since January 2011, teaching courses that include an Introduction to the Linux Operating System. Previous positions include Senior Security Consultant/Penetration Tester at Rapid7, Penetration Tester at Xerox, IA Engineer at TASC, Inc., SOC Engineer at Spexus, and serving in the United States Air Force, where significant contributions included maintaining network security for over 3,000 users and ensuring compliance with security protocols. Steven holds a Master's degree in Information Technology with a specialization in Information Security and Assurance, as well as a Bachelor's and an Associate's degree in Computer Information Systems.
