Patrick Sorsby is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in the medical device manufacturing sector. Currently serving as Director of Process Technology at Cochlear since March 2011, Patrick has spearheaded the development of innovative manufacturing technologies and led teams focused on enhancing the Manufacturing Network. Previously, Patrick held roles including Manufacturing Technology Manager, Production Engineering Manager overseeing a large team of engineers, and Lead NPI Engineer responsible for new implantable products. Prior to Cochlear, Patrick gained valuable experience at Johnson & Johnson as Senior NPI Engineer, managing production engineering teams, and held positions at Siemens Healthcare and Viasystems, where significant contributions included process design and optimization. Patrick holds a BSc in Physics from Newcastle University.
