Director Of Fleet Operations at Coco

Michael Kelley has a diverse work experience in engineering roles. Michael started their career as a Design Engineer at Comair Rotron, where they worked on projects to improve manufacturing efficiency and decrease ambient noise. Later, at UC San Diego, they served as a Robotics Research Engineer, contributing to research on biomimetic humanoid robot joints for medical purposes. Michael then joined RED Digital Cinema as a Mechanical Design Engineer and Lead Test Fixture Engineer, where they designed and marketed camera parts and implemented automated test equipment.

Following that, Kelley worked at Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics as a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, overseeing machinists and managing tooling design for injection molding. At ShadeCraft, LLC, they held the role of Sr. Mechanical Engineer, creating business plans, financial strategies, and technical documentation for outdoor robots. Subsequently, Kelley joined SonicEnergy™ as a Sr. Application & Mechanical Engineer, responsible for the mechanical aspects of transducer and receiver arrays.

Most recently, they worked at Miso Robotics as a Lead Mechanical Engineer and later as a Mechanical Engineer Manager. In these roles, Kelley contributed to the mechanical design and management of engineering projects. Currently, they are the Head of Delivery Quality at Coco.

Michael Kelley holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Accounting and Finance from Loyola Marymount University, College of Business Administration, which they obtained from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Control Systems from UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering, from 2009 to 2011. Michael also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, obtained from 2003 to 2007. Additionally, Michael obtained an Associate's Degree in Arts from Fresno City College from 2000 to 2003. Michael also has certifications in Fundamentals in Engineering/EIT CA from the State of California and has completed the Onshape Bootcamp Training Course offered by Onshape, a PTC Business.
