Before that, they worked as the Chief People Officer at Greenlit Brands, overseeing HR functions for a large business. Christine also held positions at Steinhoff Asia Pacific, where they were the Head of People and Performance and later the Head of Risk. Their earlier experience includes roles as the Remuneration and Benefits Manager at Freedom Australia and the National Remuneration Manager at Cellarmasters. Christine Polson's education history begins with their earning an Associate Diploma of Human Resources from the Northern Sydney Institute between 1994 and 1998. Christine then pursued their MBA at Charles Sturt University from 2008 to 2010, focusing on business studies. Most recently, in 2019, they attended Harvard Business School for a short course in Leading Change and Organization Renewal.
