Alexis Ford brings extensive experience in early childhood education and workforce development, currently serving as a Quality Improvement Navigator at CocoKids since September 2022. Previous roles include Childcare Workforce Development Coordinator at Contra Costa County, Site Supervisor II, and Director at The Mulberry School, where collaboration on curriculum and social-emotional development was key. Additional experience encompasses teaching at Leah's Pantry, Sprouts Infant and Toddler Center, Diablo Valley College Children's Center, and CCLC, emphasizing healthy habits and developmental needs across diverse settings. Alexis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Brandman University and an Associate of Science from Diablo Valley College, along with a 200-hour mindfulness, SEL, and yoga teacher training certification from Breathe for Change.

CocoKids is a nonprofit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Our mission is to champion and advance quality child care and early education. Now in its 42nd year, Cocokids offers expertise and exemplary programs and services to children, families, early educators and communities. With offices in Richmond, Concord and Antioch, it is at the center of the child care delivery system so that parents can work and children are ready for success in school. CocoKids provides free or low cost programs designed to support and empower parents and child care providers so that children, families, businesses and communities benefit.
