Lauren Dai's work experience includes co-founding and serving as COO of Cocoon since August 2020. At Cocoon, they aim to simplify the process of employee leave.
Before that, Lauren worked at Stripe from 2016 to 2020, where they held various roles. Lauren initially joined as part of the Business Development team in January 2019 and later transitioned to the Growth team. In their role in Growth, they were responsible for building Stripe's sales lead generation team and scaling it to achieve billions in pipeline. Lauren also played a key role in developing lead generation infrastructure, including CRM, prospect list building methodology, metrics tracking, and sales automation. Additionally, Lauren drove marketing collaborations and account-based marketing initiatives at Stripe.
Prior to Stripe, Lauren worked at Goldman Sachs from 2011 to 2016. Lauren started as an Analyst in Global Investment Research, where they authored hundreds of research notes, analyzed financial statements, and built and maintained company models. Lauren also worked as a Summer Analyst in the same division and as an Assistant Editor at China Central Television.
In 2011, Lauren also interned at Merrill Lynch as a Summer Analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Global Mortgages departments.

Lauren Dai attended South Brunswick High School in Monmouth Junction from 2005 to 2009. Lauren then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics at Harvard University from 2009 to 2013. At Harvard, they graduated with the distinction of summa cum laude and received the John. H. Williams Prize for the best overall record in the economics department.
