Tara Chowdhury, PhD has a diverse work experience in various research and academic roles. Tara currently serves as the Director of Research at CODA, Inc. Prior to this, they worked as an Associate Director of Research and a Research Scientist at the same company. At RBW Strategy, LLC, Tara worked as a Grant Writing Consultant, where they were responsible for writing grant proposal narratives, conducting research, and communicating with stakeholders. Before that, they were a Postdoctoral Scholar at Oregon Health & Science University, where they conducted research on sex differences in vulnerability to psychiatric illnesses and managed a team of researchers. Tara also had an internship with OHSU Technology Transfer and Business Development, where they facilitated academic-industry partnerships and supported startup companies. Tara began their academic career as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Pittsburgh, where they continued their research on sex differences in vulnerability to psychiatric illnesses. Tara earned their PhD from New York University, where they studied adolescent development, exercise, and food restriction's effects on hippocampal development. Prior to their PhD, they worked as a Staff Research Associate at UCLA, conducting in vivo imaging and studying the effects of ischemic stroke on dendritic structures.

Tara Chowdhury, PhD has a strong educational background in neuroscience and mathematics. Tara obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Neuroscience and Mathematics from UCLA between 2001 and 2007. Tara then pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Neuroscience at New York University from 2009 to 2014. Later, Tara completed their Master in Clinical Research (MCR) in the Human Investigations Program at Oregon Health & Science University from 2018 to 2020. In addition, they hold a certification as a Verified Peer Reviewer from Publons.
