Leann Down

Leann Down has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Leann is currently working as an Associate Director of Research at Code and Theory, a position they have held since March 2023. Before that, Leann worked as a Senior Researcher at Huge from January 2022 to March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at RIVA Solutions, Inc. as a Program Manager from July 2021 to January 2022, and as a Senior Consultant and Statistician from March 2021 to January 2022. Leann also has experience as a Senior Research Analyst at Parenthetic from August 2019 to March 2021, a Research Analyst at FrameWorks Institute from June 2017 to July 2019, and a Policy Analyst at Michigan's Children from January 2016 to April 2017. Additionally, they have held various roles as a Public Policy Intern at the Center for the Study of Social Policy, an Evaluation Associate at the University of Michigan School of Social Work, and a Youth Case Manager at AWARE Inc. Leann's early career included positions as a Student Advocate and Research Assistant at Michigan State University.

Leann Down completed their education in a progressive manner, beginning with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Michigan State University, which they obtained between 2004 and 2008. Later, they pursued dual Master's degrees from the University of Michigan. From 2014 to 2016, they completed a Master of Public Policy (MPP) with a focus on Economics & Public Policy Analysis, and concurrently obtained a Master of Social Work (MSW), where their field of study specialized in Social Policy & Program Evaluation. Apart from their formal education, Leann Down also obtained a certification in Google Data Analytics through Coursera in May 2023.
