Melanie Gin is a Senior Program Manager at Code for America. Melanie has a passion for building human relationships and managing teams as a "servant leader." Melanie has a strong background in software engineering and project management. Melanie has worked with companies such as Etsy, Ossim Shalom, and Elm Forest Consulting, LLC. Melanie is also the founder of Makeen Initiative, a company that delivers tech and wellbeing education to students across Palestine.

Melanie Gin attended the University of California, Los Angeles and studied economics before completing a software engineering program at Hack Reactor.
