Konstantinos Servis, also known as Kosta Servis, has a wide range of work experience in the field of data science and engineering. Konstantinos(Kosta) started their career in 2012 as a Software Developer at HIE. In 2013, they worked as a Senior Software Developer at Innogames GmbH, where they developed batch and real-time big data infrastructure and applications.

From 2014 to 2015, Kosta worked as a Data Analysis Engineer at Everyday Hero, followed by a role as a Senior Data Analyst at Atlassian. In this role, they set up AWS subaccounts and implemented real-time analytics pipelines using various technologies.

Kosta then moved on to Atypon, where they worked as an AWS Architecture Consultant, developing the Analytics and Search capabilities of the company. Konstantinos(Kosta) later became a Big Data Engineer at Atypon, working on the passport analytics module and responsible for ingestion/ETL and monitoring.

In 2017, they joined Snowplow Analytics as a Data Engineer, contributing to open source and internal projects. Konstantinos(Kosta) mostly used Scala, nodejs, and Python on AWS and GCP.

In 2018, Kosta worked as a Data Engineering Tutor and BD Tech Director at Code.Hub. Currently, they are working at CSIRO as a Senior Data Scientist and also served as an Astronomy Support Specialist at the Pawsey Supercomputing Centre.

Throughout their career, Kosta has gained experience in various technologies, including Spark, Scala, Python, Kinesis, Lambda, SQS, EMR, Kafka, Storm, Influxdb, Grafana, Hive, Redshift, Hadoop MapReduce, Pig, MongoDB, and d3.js.

Konstantinos (Kosta) Servis has a diverse education history in the field of computer science and astronomy. Konstantinos(Kosta) obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science from Heriot-Watt University in 2004. Konstantinos(Kosta) continued their studies at The University of Queensland, earning a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in Computer Science in 2009 and a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Computer Science in 2011.

In 2011, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science from The University of Queensland. Kosta further expanded their knowledge by completing a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in Astronomy from Swinburne University of Technology between 2015 and 2020.

To enhance their skills and stay up-to-date with industry advancements, Kosta obtained various certifications. These include certifications in machine learning, recommendation systems, image understanding, sequence models, data engineering, serverless machine learning, big data and machine learning fundamentals, and more, through Coursera and Google Cloud Platform. Konstantinos(Kosta) also holds certifications from Sun Microsystems in SCJP (Java). Additionally, Kosta acquired the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services.
