Elizabeth Papadopoulou

Elizabeth Papadopoulou has a strong background in software engineering and research and development. Elizabeth currently works at code4thought as a Senior Software Engineer. Prior to this, they were with EliSys Greece, where they co-founded the company and served as the Research & Development Manager. Elizabeth also held the position of Head of Software Engineering during their time there. Elizabeth has experience with Python, Google Cloud Platform, Postgres, Google Firestore, and Docker. Elizabeth has also worked on various research projects at Heriot-Watt University, including EU FP6 Daidalos I and II, EU FP7 PERSIST, and EU FP7 SOCIETIES, where they were the leader of the Personalisation task for ICT-SOCIETIES Task 5.3.

Elizabeth Papadopoulou completed their BSc in Computer Science from Heriot-Watt University from 2001 to 2005. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science at the same university, which they completed from 2005 to 2015. Before attending Heriot-Watt University, Elizabeth briefly studied Computer Management Information Systems at the American College of Thessaloniki in 2000. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a Content Marketing certification from HubSpot Academy in March 2022 and a Google Analytics Individual Qualification from Google in March 2022.
