Mohammad Harb

Mohammad Harb, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the American University of Beirut since August 2016, where Mohammad also serves as the Founder and Director of AUB Makerspace and the Engineering Learning Lab, focusing on active learning methodologies and fostering effective learning habits among students. Additionally, Mohammad Harb is an Academic Director for the Interdisciplinary Design Practice Program at the Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, a Board Member at CodeBrave, and a University Innovation Fellows Champion. Prior experience includes a role as a Composite Materials and Process Engineer at Mooney International, a Research Assistant at NASA Langley Research Center, and teaching assistance at North Carolina State University. With a PhD, a Master's, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, along with a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mohammad Harb has contributed significantly to research in non-destructive testing of composite structures and the enhancement of educational practices.
