Gabriel Méndez

Gabriel Méndez is a lawyer and MBA with extensive experience in corporate affairs, sustainability, government relations, and stakeholder engagement. Currently serving as the Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Codelco, Gabriel implements strategies to enhance the organization’s positioning and community relations. Previously, they held various leadership roles in both public and private sectors, including a senior advisory position at the Ministry of Energy, where they designed significant energy reforms in Chile. Gabriel has contributed to sustainable development initiatives in the U.S. and collaborated with international organizations such as the European Union and the World Food Programme. They have also been involved in major projects focused on environmental compliance and social investment.
