Humberto Rivas has extensive experience in environmental management and sustainable development within the mining industry. Currently serving as Gerente Corporativo Medio Ambiente at CODELCO since May 2013, Rivas has held various roles including Director Corporativo Gestión Ambiental and Superintendente Recursos Hidricos, focusing on sustainable water resource management for the Andina mine. Prior experience includes positions at Knight Piesold as Director Desarrollo Sustentable and Project Manager, as well as a Research Assistant at The University of British Columbia and BC Hydro. Rivas holds a Master of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from The University of British Columbia and a Civil Engineering degree from Universidad de Chile.
