Ramiro Parra Muñoz is the Director of Studies for Vulnerabilities and Emergencies at CODELCO – Corporación Nacional del Cobre de Chile, where they currently oversee the identification and strategic planning of measures to reduce vulnerabilities and respond to emergencies. With a background in engineering and extensive experience in various sectors of the mining industry, Ramiro previously held positions such as Chief of Operations for Industrial Protection and Emergencies. They served in the Chilean Navy as a specialist in anti-submarine warfare and have a diploma in disaster risk reduction from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Ramiro also holds a degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Universidad de Santiago de Chile.
