Vadim Zaliva

Vadim Zaliva has held a number of roles in the tech industry since 1990. Vadim began their career as Head of Unix Lab at Topaz-Inform in 1990. Vadim then moved to Visualtek Solutions Inc. in 1996 as Chief Software Architect. In 1997, they became Chief Software Architect at MATRAnet. In 2001, they were Software Architect at Metreo and Chief Software Architect at SetNet Corp. In 2004, they became Chief Systems Architect at Avistar Communications Corporation and Chief Technology Officer at Hexlet LLC. From 2005 to 2016, they were CEO of Codeminders, also doing business as Tristero Consulting. Since 2021, they have been a Senior Research Associate at the University of Cambridge.

Vadim Zaliva has a diverse educational background. Vadim received their Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 2020. Prior to that, they received their Master's degree in Computer Science from Colorado State University. Vadim also holds a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Ukraine State Academy of Light Industry, and an Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering from Kiev College of Radio Electronics. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including a Doctor of Philosophy from Carnegie Mellon University in 2020, Hadoop Developer from Cloudera in 2010, Master C Programmer, Master Java Programmer, and "Most Valuable Professional" member from Tekmetrics in 1999, Unix Programmer from Tekmetrics in 1999, Web Programmer from Tekmetrics in 1999, and C++ Programmer from Tekmetrics.
