Mehdi Goli has a strong background in research and development, particularly in the field of AI parallelization. Mehdi started their career at Robert Gordon University as a Research Assistant, where they worked on the ParaPhrase project funded by the Seventh Framework Programme. During this time, they made significant contributions to the project, which can be accessed on their GitHub page. In 2015, Mehdi joined Codeplay Software as a Research Engineer, and over the years, they progressed to roles such as Senior Software Engineer and Principal Software Engineer, specializing in AI parallelization. Currently, Mehdi holds the position of Vice President of Research and Development at Codeplay Software.
Mehdi Goli completed their education in a chronological order, starting with a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Shahid Beheshti University, which they obtained from 2001 to 2005. Mehdi then pursued a Master of Engineering in Software Engineering from the same university from 2006 to 2009. Following that, Mehdi went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Analytical and Scientific Databases from The University of Edinburgh between 2010 and 2011. Finally, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Distributed and Parallel Programming from Robert Gordon University, which they successfully completed from 2011 to 2015.
