Justin Dassie

Justin Dassie has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Justin started their career as a Deutscher-Akademischer Austausch Dienst (DAAD) Intern at the Institute of Clinical Molecular Biology and Tumor Genetics, Helmholtz Zentrum in 2006. Justin then moved on to The University of Iowa, where they worked as a Graduate Fellow from 2007 to 2012 and later as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow from 2012 to 2014. In 2015, they joined Affymetrix as a Field Applications Scientist for a year, followed by a similar role at Thermo Fisher Scientific from 2016 to 2018. At Codexis, Inc., they have held various positions, starting as a Global Field Scientist from 2018 to 2019, then as a Global Scientific Marketing Manager from 2019 to 2020. Justin later became an Associate Director of Business Development from 2020 to 2022, then Director of Business Development from 2022 to 2023, and currently holds the position of Senior Director of Business Development as of August 2023.

Justin Dassie began their education at Illinois State University in 2004, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences. Justin then pursued higher education at the University of Iowa from 2007 to 2012 and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular and Cellular Biology.
