Melissa Mayo

Melissa Mayo is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in analytical chemistry and biotherapeutics, currently serving as a Senior Scientist II at Codexis, Inc. since July 2017. Previously, Melissa held roles at Johnson Matthey Pharma Services, Codexis, Inc., Intrexon Corporation, E. & J. Gallo Winery, and Iowa State University, where responsibilities included method development, project management, and mentoring junior scientists. Melissa has developed a variety of analytical methods using techniques such as LC-MS and HPLC, managed externally partnered projects, and contributed to enhancing the understanding of complex biochemical processes. Melissa holds a Master of Science in Biochemistry from Iowa State University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Truman State University.
