Allan Virtanen

Allan Virtanen serves as the Global Director of Sustainability and Communications at COFCO International since November 2017, overseeing communications and sustainability efforts for a major agri-trading platform with over 11,000 employees in 36 countries. Previous roles include Global Director of Communications at COFCO International, Global Head of Communications at TAQA GLOBAL, and Corporate Communications Officer at APX-ENDEX. Allan also holds advisory positions, including membership on the Advisory Committee of the Tropical Forest Alliance. Allan's educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Media and Communications from the University of Wollongong and an Executive Global Communications Program from Columbia University.
