Mike Kress has extensive experience in the legal field, serving as an Assistant State's Attorney for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office from 1972 until 2002, and later as an Assistant Attorney General for the Illinois Attorney General's Office from 2002 to 2010. Following a distinguished career as a criminal prosecutor, Mike Kress transitioned to roles in the golf industry, currently working as a golf ranger at Cog Hill Golf Club since July 2010. In August 2021, Mike Kress became a retired snowbird with MJK. Educationally, Mike Kress holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law (1970) and a degree from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale (1967).
