Stefanie Weiss has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Stefanie began their career as a Writer and Editor at the National Education Association, where they worked from 1983 to 1998. Stefanie then moved on to the University of Maryland, serving as the Communications Director for the Academy of Leadership from 1999 to 2003. From 2003 to 2006, Stefanie worked as the Communications Director at Experience Corps. Stefanie then held the position of VP of Communications at CoGenerate (formerly Civic Ventures) from 2006 to 2012. Stefanie then took on the role of Chief Communications and Marketing Officer at Points of Light, LLC from 2012 to 2015. Following this, they served as the Vice President of Communications and Knowledge Management at America's Promise Alliance from 2015 to 2017. Stefanie is currently employed as the Senior Director of Communications at CoGenerate (formerly Encore.org), a position they have held since 2017. Additionally, they have been a Freelance contributor for The Washington Post Health section since 2001, where they write regular columns on midlife health topics.

Stefanie Weiss attended Cornell University from 1976 to 1980, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. Their field of study focused on English and American Studies.
