Amber Johnson

Amber Johnson, PhD, is a highly experienced researcher currently serving as Principal Scientist at Cogent Biosciences since July 2021. Previously, Amber Johnson held roles as a Senior Scientist, T32 Post-doctoral Research Fellow, and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus from August 2015 to June 2021, where the thesis project focused on NSCLC cell-specific MHCII expression and its implications for tumor progression and immunotherapy response. Additional experience includes a Teacher Assistant role and Professional Research Assistant position at the University of Colorado Boulder, where research involved the Mediator Complex's role in hypoxic responses. Amber Johnson holds a PhD in Oncology and Cancer Biology from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, complemented by a Graduate certificate in Biomedical Data Science and a Bachelor's degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder.
