Scott Ward

Scott Ward has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of technology and telecommunications. Scott has held various roles and positions in different companies over the years.

Starting from their most recent position, which began in 2014, they worked as the Director of Solutions Engineering at Cogent Communications. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2014, they were an Integration Engineer at JSI Telecom, where they designed and integrated complex Lawful Interception solutions and provided technical support.

From 2006 to 2011, Scott worked as an Engineering Manager at Northrop Grumman (TASC), responsible for providing networking, voice, and telecom infrastructure services to a government agency. Before that, in 2006, they were an Associate in Telecom Consulting at Booz Allen Hamilton, where they led an assessment study for a data center migration project.

In 2004, Scott worked as a Principal Engineer at Everware, where they received a Certificate of Excellence for designing a cutting-edge ATM network for a government agency. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2003, they were a Senior Systems Engineer at XO Communications, generating proposals for enterprise-wide networks.

Scott's early work experience includes being a Systems Engineer at Hughes Electronics from 1997 to 2000. During this time, they were recognized for selling satellite networks to the United Nations and restoring Internet connectivity to Kosovo.

Scott Ward completed their MBA in Finance and Accounting from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business in 2006. Prior to that, they obtained an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NC State at Raleigh in 1996. Scott also holds a BA in Math and Physics from the University of Virginia, completed in 1991. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in March 2023 and AWS Partner: Accreditation (Technical) from AWS in 2022.
