Thad Schultz

Thad Schultz has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Thad currently works at Cogent Communications as the Global Director Sales Engineering, overseeing a global territory and managing sales of Ethernet and hardware solutions. Thad has expertise in L2 Switched Ethernet, Collocation Solutions, Hosting, and IP/BGP circuits. Prior to Cogent Communications, they worked as the Senior Manager of Data Solutions at Verizon Wireless, where they managed sales of strategic solutions for wireless data networks in the government/military sector. Thad has also worked at tw telecom as a Senior Sales Engineer, designing and selling voice, data, and equipment solutions to SMB and Enterprise customers. At Siemens Enterprise Communications, they were the Fiber Optic Sales Account Manager, responsible for sales and implementation of optical networking solutions.

Thad Schultz holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Thad also earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Industrial Engineering with a minor in Electrical Engineering from the same university. In addition to their academic achievements, Thad has obtained certifications in Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Certified Solutions Architect and in Cisco as a CCIE.
