Philippe Laurin

Product Owner - Connectivity at Cogiscan

Philippe Laurin has a strong background in engineering and robotics, with experience in various roles and internships. Philippe most recently worked as a Software Developer at Cogiscan starting in September 2022. Prior to that, they were employed at Robotech Automatisation inc. from August 2020 to September 2022, where they worked as an Engineer, Industrial Robotics Expert, and Project Manager.

Philippe also gained valuable experience at GE Aviation, starting as a Robotics Jr Engineer in June 2016 and working in that role until December 2017. Philippe later returned to GE Aviation in February 2018 and continued as a Robotics Jr Engineer until May 2020. Before starting as a Jr Engineer, Philippe interned at GE Aviation as an Engineering Intern from May 2015 to August 2015.

Additionally, Philippe has held internships at Kongsberg Automotive North America as an Engineering Intern from September 2014 to December 2014, at MDA Information Systems LLC as a Mechanical Engineering Intern from January 2014 to April 2014, at IBM as an Engineer Intern from May 2013 to August 2013, and at the Institut de recherche d'Hydro-Québec as a Research Assistant Intern from September 2012 to December 2012.

Philippe Laurin completed their education in 2015 when they obtained an Engineer's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Université de Sherbrooke. Beyond their formal education, Philippe has obtained multiple certifications in the field of machine learning through Coursera. In 2018, they completed the Deep Learning Specialization, which includes courses such as "Sequence Models," "Convolutional Neural Networks," "Structuring Machine Learning Projects," "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization," and "Neural Networks and Deep Learning."
