Dimitrios Adamos has a diverse work experience in various fields. Dimitrios is currently the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Cogitat, a company that utilizes AI to convert brain waves into digital commands for virtual reality experiences. Cogitat has been recognized for their work at the NeurIPS 2021 competition.

Prior to that, Dimitrios served as an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at Imperial College London starting in 2020 and as an Independent Expert for Evaluation & Monitoring at the European Commission since 2012.

Dimitrios was also a Senior Research Fellow at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki from 2020 to 2023, where they focused on neuroinformatics and worked in the field of music studies.

Dimitrios has previous experience as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Imperial College London from 2019 to 2020. Their research during this time centered around brain connectomics and geometric machine learning.

Before that, they worked as a Researcher in Neuroinformatics at the Neuroinformatics GRoup and as a Senior Teaching and Research Fellow at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki - Faculty of Fine Arts - School of Music Studies. In these roles, Dimitrios conducted music-neuroscience experiments and developed interdisciplinary projects.

In addition, they have extensive experience as a Senior Network & Systems Engineer at both Aristotle University IT Center and Cedefop, where they worked on various internet engineering projects and network infrastructure tasks.

Overall, Dimitrios Adamos has demonstrated expertise in AI, neuroinformatics, music-neuroscience, and network engineering throughout their work experience.

Dimitrios Adamos has a strong educational background with a focus on neuroinformatics. Dimitrios obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Neuroinformatics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (MSc) in Medical Informatics at AUTH in 2004. Dimitrios also holds an Engineer's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from AUTH, which they obtained in 2001.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Dimitrios has certifications in various aspects of music, including Piano, Harmony, Counterpoint, Fugue, and Byzantine Chant. These certifications were obtained from a Conservatoire, although the exact dates of completion are not provided.
