Sara Phu, RN, BSN, OCN has over 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Sara began their career in 2006 as a Clinical Nurse II at City of Hope Medical Center. In 2012, they were promoted to Clinical Systems Analyst/Project Manager at City of Hope, where they facilitated initial clinical quality oversight committees and managed key stakeholder engagement. In 2014, they moved to Emergent Medical Associates as a Business Intelligence Analyst, where they deployed a full scale expansion of Emergency Department performance and operational metrics reporting. In 2016, they joined Vantage Oncology Now Part of The US Oncology Network as an Informatics Analyst III, where they established data visualization standards and reporting portal for utilization analysis and financial reporting. In 2017, they moved to MCKESSON SPECIALTY HEALTH MANAGEMENT SERVICES LLC as a Tableau/BI Developer, where they launched a full scale customer portal that hosted operational/performance and cost metrics. In 2018, they joined McKesson as a Sr Business Intelligence Developer/Project Manager, pioneering a machine learning project to develop a predictive model on mortality risk among community oncology patients. In 2021, they were promoted to Senior Manager Business Intelligence at Cogitativo.

Sara Phu, RN, BSN, OCN completed their Bachelor of Science in Microbiology & Molecular Genetics from the University of California, Los Angeles. Sara then went on to receive their Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Los Angeles. In 2013, Sara obtained a Certified Healthcare Technology Specialist - Implementation Manager (CHTS-IM) from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Sara also obtained an Oracle Application Development Certificate from the University of California, Irvine Extension. In 2012, Sara was awarded an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) from the Oncology Nursing Society. Additionally, Sara holds a Certificate in Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) Implementation Project Manager from Santa Monica College. In 2016, they were awarded a Tableau Desktop 10 Qualified Associate from Tableau Software. In 2019, Sara was awarded a Tableau Desktop Certified Associate from Tableau Software.
