Danny Atsmon

Founder & CEO at Cognata

Danny Atsmon has over 20 years of work experience in various roles. Danny began their career in 1991 as a Software Engineer at The Center for Educational Technology (CET), where they developed a software for Fast typing in Hebrew, English and Arabic. In 1999, they became the Head of Software at ComSense, where they invented, developed and industrialized the world's first battery powered card. In 2002, Danny moved to Report Control Software as a Software Engineer, where they designed and implemented several web modules and a Microsoft Outlook extension. In 2004, they took on the role of Senior Algorithms Engineer at IDF. In 2005, Danny was the Head of Software and Project Manager at EPOS, where they lead the software development of the company's Digital Pen & Mouse product. In 2007, they became the Co-Founder (VP R&D) at Picitup, where they built the company's unique Visual search engine from scratch. From 2010 to 2013, they were the Co-Founder & CTO at iOnRoad, where they led the Research, Design and Development of Computer Vision Algorithms for mobile platforms and server side infrastructure. Finally, from 2013 to 2016, they were the Sr. Director Machine Learning at HARMAN International. In 2016, Danny founded and became the CEO of Cognata Ltd.

Danny Atsmon obtained a Highschool degree from Handesa'im in 1994, majoring in Physics and computers. Danny then attended The Open University from 1997 to 2000, studying Philosophy, Art, Physics, and Graph Theory. In 2001, they earned a BSc from Tel Aviv University in Physics, and in 2005, they earned an MSc in Brain Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
