Mark Bloemeke

Mark Bloemeke has a long history of work experience, beginning with an Assistant Professor (Non-tenure Track) position at the University of South Carolina in 1997. Mark then moved to Retek in 1998, where they held the roles of Senior Software Engineer and Staff Scientist. In 2003, they became a Co-founder of LogicBlox, where they led teams to design and build cloud based systems for the insurance industry, as well as a cloud based large data integration service specializing in retail data. In 2011, they took on a Client Partner role at Predictix, followed by a Chief Technology Architect, Analytics role at DataDirect Networks in 2012. In 2013, they became the Chief Technology Officer of tPlus Technology LP, where they oversaw the construction of a model based equities trading platform that leveraged aspects of big data and HPC to allow rapid large scale fundamental analysis of company value. Mark then became a Co-founder of Cognira in 2015.

Mark Bloemeke obtained their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Bethany College in 1992. Mark then pursued a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of South Carolina, which they completed in 1995. Finally, they obtained their PhD in Computer Science from the University of South Carolina in 1998.
