Rucha Khopkar

Rucha Khopkar is a Data Scientist currently working at Cognitiv since May 2024. Previously, Rucha served as Data Scientist II at Seagate Technology from June 2022 to May 2024, where achievements included optimizing a critical process to enhance head durability, leading to a 9% reduction in degradation. Rucha also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Deep Learning at Carnegie Mellon University, guiding 450 students in various deep learning courses under Professor Bhiksha Raj. Additionally, Rucha gained experience as a Data Science Intern at UPMC, developing an end-to-end machine learning pipeline to analyze systemic multi-omic response patterns to traumatic injury in aged versus young patients. Rucha holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering Applied Advanced Program from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Pune Institute of Computer Technology.
