Vladimir Drozdetski

R&D Director at Cognitiv

Vladimir Drozdetski has extensive experience in the software engineering and research and development fields. Vladimir began their career in 1987 as a Scientist at the Latvian Fishery Research Institute. In 1993, they became a Visiting Scientist at the Danish Hydraulic Institute. From 1994 to 1996, they were a Senior Software Engineer at the Institute of Computer Technologies, Information Economics (ICT/INEC). From 1996 to 1998, they were a Senior Software Engineer at RKB. During this time, they designed and delivered backend software solutions to E-Commerce online financial services, improved productivity and reliability of highly secure data flow between E-Commerce and financial partners, and significantly increased data migration performance through implementation of state-of-the-art automated ETL and regression data verification suit. From 1998 to 2004, they were a Senior Software Developer at Nexus Energy Software, where they pioneered with innovative architectural design and revolutionary programming techniques which helped Energy Vision™ to resolve traditional limitations of RDBMS based DSS and outperform similar products. From 2011 to 2014, they were a Senior Technical Lead at CGI Federal, where they architected and led development of EPA-based components of Interoperability Web Services (IWS) for Automated Commercial Environment / International Trade Data System (ACE/ITDS) hosted at U. S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Finally, from 2015 to present, they have been the R&D Director at Cognitiv.

Vladimir Drozdetski attended Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) from 1982 to 1987 and graduated with a M.Sc. in Ecological Modeling.
