Jason Wang started their work experience in 1999 as a Consultant at McKinsey & Company, where they worked until 2001. In 2000, they also served as a Project Manager for the Taiwan National Health Insurance Reform. From 2006 to 2011, they worked at Boston University as an Assistant and Associate Professor. In 2011, they joined Stanford University, initially as an Associate Professor of Pediatrics, and later became the Director of the Center for Policy, Outcomes, and Prevention, as well as a Professor of Pediatrics and Health Policy. In 2021, they joined RAND Corporation as a member of the Rand Health Board. Additionally, in 2012, they co-founded Cognito Health and served as a board member.

Jason Wang has an extensive education history. jason completed their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at Harvard Medical School from 1992 to 1996, specializing in Medicine. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from MIT, where they studied from 1988 to 1992.

In 1999, Jason pursued further education with a Mini-MBA at McKinsey and Company. Following this, they entered the Rand Graduate School and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Public Policy Analysis from 2001 to 2006. During this time, they also engaged in health research as a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

Before their PhD studies, Jason completed a Residency program in Pediatrics at UCSF from 1996 to 1999. This comprehensive education background supports their expertise in medicine, health services research, and public policy analysis.
