Michael McMurtry has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Michael began their career in 1998 at Great North American Companies, where they worked as a Senior Executive Sales Manager, selling office and computer supplies, educational supplies, ad specialty products, and niche market products. Michael was responsible for hiring, training, coaching, and mentoring new and seasoned sales reps, as well as developing sales and marketing plans to forecast and increase the company's business and profitability.

From 2004 to 2007, Michael worked at Express Media as a Senior Sales Executive, making inside and outside sales calls to businesses for print media marketing packages and various niche market products. Michael was also responsible for training and mentoring new and seasoned sales reps, and they achieved top sales performance during their tenure.

Following their time at Express Media, Michael joined Gordon's Jewelers as a Store Manager. Michael recruited, hired, trained, and managed staff, controlled profit and loss through profitable sales and cost-efficient practices, and increased store sales volume by 40% in their first year as a manager.

In 2007, Michael transitioned to AmMed Direct, where they initially worked as a DME Customer Service representative, specializing in reorder sales. Michael consistently exceeded sales goals, demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of glucometers, and successfully adapted and contributed to other projects within the department and across the company.

Michael then joined Cognosante in 2013 and held various roles, including Business Analyst, Business Analyst Management Team Lead, Business Analyst Supervisor. Michael was extensively involved in case analysis processes, resolving complex cases, providing guidance to team members, and supporting the implementation of an Enrollment Resolution and Reconciliation Process for Health Care Reform and the Affordable Care Act. Michael also conducted research, resolved transaction and processing issues, and contributed to continuous process improvement.

Most recently, in 2019, Michael joined Ingersoll Rand Industrial Technologies as a Sales Specialist, where they currently work.

Michael McMurtry attended Volunteer State Community College from 1980 to 1982. Michael received an Associate's degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Additionally, during the same period, they studied Business Management, Marketing, and Accounting at the same institution.
