Mark Quandt

Mark Quandt is a seasoned financial professional with a diverse background in asset management and investment analysis. Currently serving as Managing Director at Cohen & Company Asset Management, Mark has also co-founded Illuminence, a fintech firm aimed at multi-asset class investors. Previous roles include Senior Advisor for Capital Raising at Arootah and Investor Relations at Emso Asset Management. Mark held the position of Director at Merrill Lynch, where responsibilities included researching Global Macro and Emerging Markets as well as managing hedge fund portfolios. Earlier experience includes roles as Acquisitions Manager at New Castle Media and Investment Analyst at Man Group, alongside a summer associate position focused on Latin American equity research at Bear Stearns. Mark's educational background includes an MBA in Finance and Economics and an MA in International Affairs from Columbia University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Physics and History from Georgetown University. Additionally, Mark's volunteer work with the Peace Corps involved teaching physics and math while overseeing the construction of educational facilities.
