Managing Director at Cohen-Esrey

Jon Atlas has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Legislative Assistant for Congresswoman Karen McCarthy from September 2001 to May 2003, followed by a similar position with Congressman Jim Langevin from May 2003 to August 2006. Jon then worked as a Summer Real Estate Associate at O-H Community Partners, Ltd for the summer of 2007. From October 2008 to October 2010, they served as an Associate Fund Manager at National Equity Fund. Jon then joined J.P. Morgan as an Associate Underwriter from October 2010 to January 2012, and later as a Vice President from January 2012 to July 2015.

In 2015, Jon joined Cohen-Esrey, where they initially served as a Development Manager until October 2017. Jon then became the Vice President of Development, overseeing the development of over $100 million of real estate and the creation of nearly 700 units across multiple states. As of July 2020, they are currently serving as the Managing Director of Cohen-Esrey Development Group, responsible for overseeing the team in creating multifamily housing projects. They specialize in complex developments using federal and state housing and historic tax credits to deliver thriving communities.

Jon Atlas earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus on Real Estate, Economics, Finance, and Entrepreneurship from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where they attended from 2006 to 2008. Prior to their MBA, Jon completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Public Policy Studies, Economics, Markets and Management at Duke University, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. Jon completed their high school education at Shawnee Mission East from 1993 to 1997. The field of study for their high school education is not specified.
