Emily Van Eerd is a professor at Fanshawe College, teaching Residential Landlord and Tenant Law since January 2024. Prior to this role, Emily served as a paralegal at Cohen Highley LLP and held positions as a legal assistant at Siskinds, LLP and Harrison Pensa LLP, where responsibilities included file management, invoicing, and client communications. Emily's legal experience began with a placement at the City of London Provincial Offences Office, engaging in court matters and file screenings. Additionally, Emily developed leadership skills while serving as a site director at the YMCA of Western Ontario, overseeing children’s day camps. Emily Van Eerd holds a post-graduate certificate in Paralegal Studies from Fanshawe College and a Bachelor's degree with a double major in Criminology and Women's Studies from Western University.
