Blayne Borden has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. They started their career at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in 1997, where they worked as an Application Trainer and Curriculum Writer for the US Libraries Program. From 2000 to 2003, Blayne worked as a Youth Services Librarian at Timberland Regional Library.
In 2013, Blayne took on multiple roles, including Grants Writer and Marketing professional at Newton's Attic and Research Consultant at Natel Engineering Co., Inc. (Natel EMS). They also served as a Social Media Manager at Good Ideas, Inc. from 2014 to 2016.
Blayne joined Lexington Public Library in 2016 and held various positions. They started as a Library Associate in the Children's department and later transitioned into the role of Youth Services Librarian in 2017. Their tenure with the library lasted until February 2022.
In 2022, Blayne joined BBD, LLP as an Administrative Coordinator, a position they held until March 2023. Their most recent role is as an Engagement Operations Specialist at Cohen & Company, which they began in March 2023.
Blayne Borden began their education at Emory University in 1990 and completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Creative Writing in 1994. Blayne then pursued further academic qualifications by attending the University of Washington from 1997 to 1999. During this time, they obtained a Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS) degree with a specialization in Library and Information Science.
