Samantha Smudz

Samantha Smudz has extensive experience in the financial and legal sectors. Samantha started their career as a Senior Audit Assistant at Deloitte & Touche LLP, where they worked from September 2008 to August 2010. Following this, they joined Medical Mutual as a Law Clerk to the Chief Legal Officer and Executive Vice President, working from May 2011 to August 2013. Samantha then joined EY as part of their Transaction Advisory Services - Transaction Tax team in August 2013 and remained with the company until December 2018. Most recently, they joined Cohen & Company in January 2019 as a Tax Partner in Transaction Services.

Samantha Smudz completed their education with a Juris Doctorate degree in Law from Cleveland State University - Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Samantha attended this institution from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, Samantha obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Miami University, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Additionally, Samantha holds certifications as an Attorney, obtained in November 2013 from the State of Ohio, and as a Certified Public Accountant, obtained in April 2010 from the State of Ohio.
