Bharat Venkitesh has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Bharat began their career as an Infrastructure Coordinator at Elan, IIT Hyderabad in 2012. In 2013, they worked as a Project Intern at Rockwell Collins. From 2014 to 2016, they were a Researcher at TCS Innovation Labs, where they focused on projects involving augmented reality for tele-assistance and simultaneous localization and mapping. Bharat then pursued a Master of Science degree at the University of Waterloo from 2016 to 2018, during which time they also served as a Teaching Assistant and a Student Representative on the ECE Graduate Studies Committee. Following their studies, they joined Huawei Technologies Canada Co., Ltd. in 2018 as a Machine Learning Research Engineer, where they developed a CTC-based speech recognition solution for integration into Huawei's product line. Bharat's most recent position is as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Cohere, a role they started in April 2020.
Bharat Venkitesh started their education journey at Sanghamitra School from 2008 to 2010, although it's not clear what degree or field of study they pursued during this time. From 2010 to 2014, they attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Subsequently, from 2012 to 2014, they pursued a minor in Computer Science at the same institution. Bharat then took their education further by attending the University of Waterloo from 2016 to 2018, where they successfully completed a Master of Science degree with a specialization in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
