Michael Kozakov

Michael Kozakov has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Michael is currently working at Cohere as a Software Engineering Manager since October 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Cohere as a Software Engineer from April 2022 to October 2022.

Before joining Cohere, Michael served as a Member of the Board of Directors at Kozakov Foundation starting from May 2021.

Michael also worked at Snap Inc. as a Software Engineer from September 2016 to April 2022.

Prior to Snap Inc., Michael was employed at Amazon as a Software Engineer from July 2015 to September 2016, where they worked on a cross-platform desktop app based on Electron and developed APIs for a web-service handling up to 300,000 calls a day.

While studying at the University of Toronto, Michael held positions as a Software Developer from January 2015 to May 2015, and as an Instructing Teacher Assistant from September 2013 to May 2015 for the course CSC207 - Software Design.

Additionally, they interned at Amazon in 2014 and 2013, working on the Firefly application for the Amazon Fire Phone and the Maps application for the same device, respectively.

Prior to their internships, Michael worked as a Software developer at the Bioinformatics Research Lab at the University of Toronto from May 2012 to April 2013.

Finally, they began their career as a Soldier in the IT department of the Israel Defense Forces from July 2008 to June 2011.

Michael Kozakov obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and German Studies from the University of Toronto from 2011 to 2015.
