Sangeetha Venkatesan

Sangeetha Venkatesan has a strong background in Natural Language Processing (NLP) engineering and incident management. Sangeetha most recently worked at directlink as a Natural Language Processing Engineer, where they focused on evolving-intents identification and zero-shot intent classification for task-oriented chatbots. Sangeetha also conducted research on adapting neural dialog agents for credit unions and community banks. In this role, they successfully incorporated contextual awareness in the NLU system to improve comprehension of unexpected requests.

Prior to that, Sangeetha worked at Cohere as a Community Champion, where they provided valuable insights and solutions to the cohere.ai Discord community on the use of Large Language Models across diverse domains.

Sangeetha's work experience also includes a role as a Thoughtful Typist in NLP at https://medium.com/lmao-learning-group, as well as a Senior Application Engineer at NortonLifeLock. In their role at NortonLifeLock, they delivered efficient incident management solutions for applications hosted in Azure infrastructure. Sangeetha designed an innovative incident notification system and utilized data analysis and visualizations to drive optimal resolution and improved system uptime. Additionally, they leveraged data from various sources to predict service outages using statistical models and deep learning algorithms.

Sangeetha Venkatesan completed their B.E. degree in Computer Science and Engineering at Easwari Engineering College from 2013 to 2017. Sangeetha then pursued further education and is currently working towards a Master's degree in Computer Science at Syracuse University College of Engineering and Computer Science, which they are expected to complete in 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Sangeetha Venkatesan has also obtained certifications to enhance their skill set. Sangeetha completed the "DevOps Foundations: Site Reliability Engineering" certification from LinkedIn in December 2021. Furthermore, they obtained the "Intermediate SQL" certification from DataCamp in March 2023.
